A picture speaks a thousand words. One of the many advantages of owning a Tidewater is performance. We not only define performance by speed and economy but by how comfortable, stable, and dry our boats are. Our speed and economy are noteworthy, but as you can see, that is only the beginning. Not every day can be perfect. Conditions are not always ideal. When they aren’t, you can be assured that you will be as comfortable as possible in the Tidewater Boat. The Carolina Flair diverts the water off of and away from the bow. The dry chines direct water out from the boat, and if any water gets past those spots, several spray relief points virtually eliminate the possibility of water coming into the cockpit. On those days, Tidewater still delivers a solid feel because the Corrugated Grid Stringer Vertebra holds everything together.

DRY CHINE RIDE

Tidewater Boats are wider from chine to chine, eliminating large bow rises and allowing them to perform with a variety of horsepower. The DRC creates a more stable platform from side to side, decreasing the rolling effect. The reverse angle also distributes the water off the hull out and away from the boat, creating the "Dry Chine Ride."

Corrugated grid stringer vertebra

Tidewaters exclusive Corrugated Grid Stringer Vertebra (CGSV) are individually engineered to provide strength, support, and integrity throughout the entire boat.

Unlike others, Tidewater has a specific CGSV for every model they manufacture, ensuring all components (such as fuel tanks, noise and vibration. The CGSV allow Tidewater Boats to have longer running surfaces called EPH (easy plane hull). This feature allows quicker, lower plane speed and the most comfortable ride available.
